Itinerary (Day Wise)

Mumbai to Mumbai tour guests will report at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai as per the scheduled flight departure time and proceed to Madrid – the capital and the most populous city of Spain also the third-largest city in the European Union. Upon arrival in the afternoon, Veena World Tour Manager will guide all guests for airport formalities and proceed to the city. Today we explore Madrid city, we see Plaza de Espana - one of Madrid's largest square, Cervantes Statue – the monument dedicated to Miguel de Cervantes, the Spanish novelist, poet and play writer, Cibeles fountain – a famous landmark which depicts Cybele the Great Mother of the Gods and Roman Goddess of fertility, Parliament and Puerto del Sol – a bustling public square.

Today we proceed to Toledo – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the former Spanish capital. This city is known for its unique mixture of three cultures - Judaic, Christian and Islamic. Upon arrival, we visit the city's most famous monument Santa Maria la Blanca Synagogue - the oldest 12th century synagogue, followed by visit to medieval era Sword factory - Toledo became a center of traditional sword-making and Toledo swords became the standard weaponry among the Romans because of the flexiblility of the steel.
In the afternoon, we proceed to Seville – the capital of southern Spain’s Andalusia region, also known worldwide for its culture, traditions, artistic heritage and flamenco dancing.

Today we explore Seville city, we visit Catedral de Sevilla – massive gothic cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with the Tomb of Christopher Columbus, Moorish Tower - the bell tower of Seville Cathedral, The Alcazar of Seville - a royal palace and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Later we take a photo stop at Santa Cruz Quarter - the former Jewish quarter of the medieval city followed by a visit to the ultramodern expo 92’ site to view a small scale model of ‘Victoria’ - the first vessel to circumnavigate the globe. We then visit Metropol Parasol - sculptural wooden structure with six parasols in the form of giant mushrooms houses an archaeological museum, rooftop walkway & viewpoint. In the evening, we enjoy the Flamenco Show with dinner.

Today we proceed to world’s renowned tourist destination Costa del Sol – the southern coast of Spain known for its Mediterranean old town, inland national parks and beautiful beach resorts. Upon arrival, we visit Puerto Banus - one of the largest entertainment centres with 5 million annual visitors and is popular with international celebrities. Later we proceed to Malaga - a port city on southern Spain known for its high-rise hotels and resorts jutting up from yellow-sand beaches. It is also the birthplace of famous Spanish artist Pablo Picasso. Here we see Plaza de la Merced – a fifteenth century market place also a public square, The Museo Picasso- The museum which overview the great Picasso and his work, Cathedral of Malaga - one of the most beautiful and impressive cathedrals. In the evening, we visit Moorish fortress La Alcazaba – the most well preserved example of a Moorish citadel in Spain.

Today we proceed to Cordoba - This ancient Andalucían city, UNESCO World Heritage Site boasts world-famous Moorish architecture, beautiful courtyard patio houses and a beautiful river front. Upon arrival, we explore Cordoba city, we see Roman bridge, Arab waterwheels and Plaza del Potro – a public square, followed by a photo stop at Mezquita – the Mosque – Cathedral of Córdoba. Later we proceed to Valencia – a buzziest port city of Spain situated where the Turia River meets the Mediterranean Sea.

Today we explore Valencia city, we see Plaza del Mercado – a market place, Serranos Towers – 14th century Gothic city gateway served as triumphal arch on many festive occasions, Plaza de Ayuntamento and Cathedral of Valencia, followed by a visit to City of Arts and Sciences – to see the work of the Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava, several of his buildings have become icons in the city. Then we visit Ceramics Museum - an important collection of prehistoric, Roman, Greek and Arab ceramics items. Later we proceed to Barcelona – the cosmopolitan capital of Spain’s Catalonia region, is known for its art, architecture and FC Barcelona football club.

Today we explore Barcelona city, we visit UNESCO World Heritage site Sagrada Familia Cathedral - Antoni Gaudí's unfinished masterpiece, expected to be completed in 2026 after almost 142 years of construction. Then we take a cable car ride to Montjuic hill which gives us a panoramic views of the entire Barcelona city and the Tibidado hill. Later we see The 1992 Olympic stadium, Statue of Christopher Columbus and Colourful La Ramblas - the most famous street in Barcelona and Horta labyrinth park - Designed by the Italian engineer Domenico Bagutti. this park hosts tall hedges made from cypress trees and plenty of dead-ends and wrong turns, getting to the middle can be quite a challenge, but once you do, you’ll find a statue of Eros, the Greek god of love. In the evening, we visit Poble Espanyol – an open air Archaeological museum. Later we take a stroll on the beach front of Barcelona to enjoy the sunset.

Some monuments or sightseeing places may be closed temporarily without any prior notice; in such cases every attempt will be made to visit an alternate sightseeing if possible.   • As everyone is becoming a frequent traveller now, we suggest that you make your own travel accessories kit to ensure a stress free holiday.
  • Always make sure to carry less and light luggage, use a four wheel small or medium suitcase and please make sure that you are carrying only one suitcase per person. This will ensure that you will travel smartly and without any inconveniences.
  • It is also recommended that you have one cross shoulder bag or haversack for your handy needs which will ensure that you are comfortable at the time of sightseeing and also easy for photography during your tour.
  • A smart cap/hat and sunglasses are definitely something that you should have in your kit.
  • Though Veena World provides all three meals, that is breakfast, lunch, dinner and Veena World treats as per the itinerary, you can carry dry snacks of your choice in small sealed packets for munching during air travel or road journeys.
  • If you are travelling during the monsoon or to destinations where it is rainy, please carry a small umbrella or poncho.
  • For international tours, please carry a universal adapter for charging your cameras and mobile phones.
  • Ensure that your clothing and footwear is suitable for the destination you are travelling to.

Remarks

  • All meals are provided by Veena World in case the flight reaches the stipulated destination early morning or leaves destination late in the evening.
  • Standard Check-in and check-out time of International hotels is usually 1500hrs and 1200hrs respectively.
  • Guests may please note that for Domestic flights or internal flights from one city to another city on international tours, the baggage allowance will be as per the respective airline baggage policy and weight regulations. Guests are requested to pack their belongings and carry luggage in accordance to the respective airlines baggage allowance. Excess baggage (if any) will be chargeable as per the airline policy and the same has to be borne by the guest.
