Sabarmati Ashram
The presence of Mahatma Gandhi pervades the galleries and rooms here, making the visit to Sabarmati Ashram an intense experience. You will find his spinning wheel, bedroom, writing floor desk and kitchen preserved as they were along the banks of the river Sabarmati. Also, the complex has a gallery that displays large paintings, blow-ups of illegible scribbles, sketches, and photographs. Calico Museum of Textiles

The beautiful evening market has stalls that sell glittering wares from Saurashtra and Kutch and is hugely crowded with the fantastic decorated ‘chaniyas’ (long and wide traditional skirts), ‘cholis’ (sari blouses), costume jewellery, embroidered wall hangings, and so much more.
Best time to visit Ahmedabad
The effervescent city of Ahmedabad has a different appeal in different seasons. Here’s a month-wise break-up of the climate of the city:
November to February:
Winters are undoubtedly the best time to visit Ahmedabad. The weather is extremely pleasant and mild; it makes for the perfect for you and family to plan a vacation in Ahmedabad. The maximum and minimum temperatures during this season are generally 35 and 12°C, respectively. Also, do remember to carry a few jackets and woollens along; evenings can be cold.
March to May:
March signifies the beginning of summer in Ahmedabad and the temperature begins to rise.
