By Train: The closest station to Chail is Kalka Railway Station. While multiple trains from major Indian cities do stop at the Kalka Railway Station, its connectivity is limited. Hence, it would be better to take a train to Chandigarh Railway station, and then travel to Chail by road.

By Road: Chail is well connected by road to most nearby cities and towns in Himachal Pradesh. State-owned buses connect it to places like Shimla, Narkhanda and Rampur.
