Manali sits at about 2,000 metres in the Kullu valley of Himachal Pradesh, on the banks of the Beas. It is the base for Solang Valley, Rohtang Pass and the Atal Tunnel to Lahaul. Veena World lists resorts along the river, hotels on the Mall Road and cottages in Old Manali and Naggar.
