Day 1
Destination – Zurich – Stein am rhein – Zurich (1 Night)

Switzerland Alpine Discovery Tour (Mumbai to Mumbai) guests will report at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport-respective airline terminal, four hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time. After collecting the snacks hamper from Veena World Airport Representative and completing check in formalities, guests along with Veena World Tour Manager will travel to Zurich – a global centre for banking and finance, lies at the north end of Lake Zurich. Joining & Leaving (J&L) Tour guests will directly join at Zurich Airport as per the scheduled group flight arrival time. J&L Tour guests who have already reached Switzerland can meet the scheduled group as per the guidelines given by Veena World Tour Manager. Upon arrival, Veena World Tour Manager will guide all guests for airport formalities and proceed to the city. Today we visit we visit Zurich Lake- the focal point of Zurich and a favourite shore for tourists and locals, Stein am Rhein- A lively and very charming small town. Here we walk through its old town which is known for its mural-coated medieval

Day 2
Zurich – Rapperswil – Appenzell – St. Moritz (1 Night)

Today we drive through Rapperswil- historic town on the south end of Lake Zurich. Here we take a photo stop at Rapperswil Castle – it was built in the early 13th century AD by the House of Rapperswil. It is surrounded on three sides by the Lake Zürich. Later we proceed to Appenzell- The smallest Swiss canton, and the car-free village. Upon arrival we walk through its historical town square and see rows of decorative houses. In the afternoon we proceed to St. Moritz- a luxury alpine resort town in Switzerland’s Engadin valley. Upon arrival we visit Lake St. Moritz – a famous European holiday scenic spot, suitable for both winter and summer. In winter the frozen Lake of St. Moritz is an arena for horseracing, polo or cricket matches, but in summer the rowers, sailing boats, fishermen and stand-up paddlers take over, St. Moritz church with its leaning tower - a remarkable 16th-century structure that has survived the rest of its church.

Day 3
St. Moritz – Zermatt (2 Nights)

Today we board the glacier express from St. Moritz and travel to Zermatt, we enjoy this journey across 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels and across the Oberalppass at 2033 meters above sea level. A panoramic trip through the Alps in the heart of Switzerland

Day 4
Zermatt – Gornergrat – Zermatt

Today we enjoy journey on Europe’s highest open-air cog railway from Zermatt station to the summit of the Gornergrat. The line leads over dramatic bridges, through galleries and tunnels, across forests of larch and Swiss stone pine, and past rocky ravines and mountain lakes.

Day 5
Zermatt –Vevey – Lavaux– Montreux (3 Nights)

Today we proceed to Vevey - a Swiss town on Lake Geneva and known for being one of the 'Pearls of the Swiss Riviera'. Upon arrival we visit Chaplin’s world at Vevey - a museum and a former residence of the British comedian, actor, director and composer Charlie Chaplin. Later we hop on a trolley to visit the Lavaux region – a UNESCO-listed countryside where shimmering lakes and terraced vineyards are framed by the Alps. Here we also do some wine testing. In the evening we drive towards Montreux – a traditional resort town on Lake Geneva from the lake to the mountains and vineyards, Montreux offers a postcard landscape.

Day 6
Montreux – Chocolate Train – Gruyères – Broc – Montreux

Today we travel in a beautiful chocolate train – everyone will find something to enjoy on the Chocolate Train, whether it’s sweet or savoury. Departing from Montreux, the exceptional carriage carries their passengers to the mediaeval town of Gruyères and the Maison Cailler in Broc. We first stop at Gruyères. Here we visit cheese factory and see cheese making demonstration. Later we walk through Gruyères town and visit its medieval castle. Later we again board the train and proceed to Broc. On arrival we vist Maison Cailler – The Swiss chocolate factory. The train then returns to Montreux. Upon arrival we visit Château de Chillon – an island castle located on Lake Geneva

Day 7
Montreux – Glacier 3000 – Gstaad – Montreux

Today we enjoy a fun filled visit to Glacier 3000 – A snow-coated wonderland perched high in the Vaud Alps of Western Switzerland. Upon arrival we ride on the cable car which takes us to the top. Here we enjoy the Snow Park, Ice Express chairlift, Glacier Walk, breath-taking views of snow-capped mountains from the view point. Later we visit Gstaad Village (1,050 m above sea level). Upon arrival we walk around the village and explore the enchanting Alpine architecture lining the traffic-free Gstaad Promenade— five blocks of charming chalets comprising a mix of hotels, elegant boutiques, fashion houses, sports shops etc. in the evening we proceed back to Montreux. Upon arrival we take a photo stop near Freddie mercury statue- the son of a British-Indian civil servant, was a singer, songwriter, record producer, and lead vocalist of the rock band Queen.

Day 8
Montreux – Departure from Geneva

Today we proceed to Geneva – Popularly known as the 'capital of peace’, as it is the headquarters of Red Cross and the European seat of the UNO. En route we visit Olympic Museum in Lausanne – It houses permanent and temporary exhibits relating to sport and the Olympic movement. With more than 10,000 artifacts, the museum is the largest archive of Olympic Games in the world. Upon arrival we explore Geneva city, we see Jet D’eau fountain - 140 metres high water fountain and the official logo for Geneva's hosting of the 2008 UEFA Championships, Geneva lake - Switzerland’s largest lake, Flower Clock – a large working clock made of flowers that changes with the seasons, UN Building - office of the United Nations in Geneva is the European headquarters of the UN, the other headquarters being in New York, famous Broken Chair - a monumental sculpture in wood by the Swiss artist Daniel Berset, Red Cross building -Headquarters of International Committee of the Red Cross and WHO Building – Headquarters of World Health Organization. It’s time now to say goodbye! Switzerland Alpine Discovery Tour (Mumbai to Mumbai) guests will proceed to Geneva Airport as per the scheduled group flight departure time. After completing airport formalities, Switzerland Alpine Discovery Tour guests will travel back to Mumbai with Veena World Tour Manager. Joining & Leaving (J&L) Tour guests can be dropped at Geneva Airport along with scheduled group or they can have their own arrangements made for the return journey back home. Switzerland Alpine Discovery Tour concludes with mixed feelings! Happy to have made so many good friends, visited beautiful places and collected joyful memories to be cherished for a lifetime. We leave with a heavy heart as the golden days of the Tour come to an end. Payments can be made by Cheque, Demand Draft, NEFT, RTGS or IMPS. Cheque/Demand Draft should be in favour of "Veena Patil Hospitality Pvt Ltd"

Remarks
  • All meals are provided by Veena World in case the flight reaches the stipulated destination early morning or leaves destination late in the evening.
  • ‘In Case if any sightseeing is not done due to weekly closure, an alternative sightseeing will be done for the same’.
  • Under unavoidable circumstances itineraries may be changed or reversed, however all inclusions in the itinerary will remain same.
  • Standard Check-in and check-out time of International hotels is usually 1500hrs and 1200hrs respectively.
  • Guests may please note that for Domestic flights or internal flights from one city to another city on international tours, the baggage allowance will be as per the respective airline baggage policy and weight regulations. Guests are requested to pack their belongings and carry luggage in accordance to the respective airlines baggage allowance. Excess baggage (if any) will be chargeable as per the airline policy and the same has to be borne by the guest.
