As always, all the arrangements, planning and execution of the tour was upto date. Very happy with this tour. All the efforts made by Ankush is appreciating. He is very friendly with all the members. His way of presenting information and making all the arrangements time to time was perfect. Greetings from Kalpesh Patil. All of Meghalaya was a first trip for us through Veena World, ie - NEMS111122/A . It turned out to be one of the most memorable trip for my family. All 8 days were full of different experiences. Sightseeings were properly curated and timed so fantastically that we got to enjoy every point with less crowd and more clearly. Hotels were very good at Shillong , Dawki and Cheraapunji. The hotel selection at Guwhati still needs to be worked on. Our Tour guides Mr. Ankush Pashte and Tushar Khatal were like a cherry on the top to our tour. Both of them blended so well in the group as if we knew them from ages. Having proper information about each and every tourist spot and going out of the way to help us is what we liked in them the most. We wish the next time we travel with Veena World we get them as our tour guides again. I would like to rate this whole trip a 8.5/10 💫 Thankyou Veena World.

Itinerary (Day Wise)
Guwahati – Shillong (2 Nights)
Tour Guests will arrive at Guwahati Airport as per their Scheduled flight. Upon arrival they will meet Veena World tour manager at the airport and proceed to Shillong – The capital of Meghalaya. En route we enjoy the view of beautiful Umiam Lake. In the evening all guests will have a short Meet & Greet session.

Shillong
Today we visit Cathedral of Mary, Ward’s Lake, Lady Hydari Park and Don Bosco Museum. We then visit Elephant Fall. Later we visit the Police Bazar area and indulge in some street shopping and hit the pubs and cafes in Shillong on our own.

Shillong – Jowai (2 Nights)
Today we proceed to Jowai. En route we also get to see fields of paddy farming. We also visit Thadlaskein Lake – a beautiful manmade Lake in Meghalaya.

Jowai – Krang Suri – Jowai
Today we visit one of the scenic and most beautiful waterfalls in Meghalaya – Krang Suri Waterfalls.

Jowai – Dawki – Mawlynnong – Cherrapunjee (2 Nights)
Today we head towards Dawki to see the crystal clear waters of Dawki river and enjoy boating on the river. Dawki lies at the border of India and Bangladesh and is famous for a suspension bridge over Umngot River (commonly known as Dawki bridge) constructed by British in 1932. We also visit India - Bangladesh border at Tamabil. We then proceed to Mawlynnong, Asia’s cleanest village. Mawlynnong village has been awarded as the ‘Cleanest Village in Asia’. We visit the Balancing Rock and the Living Root Bridge – Centuries old bridges grown from tangled roots. Walk around the beautiful village, you’d spot thatched khasi huts along the way, bamboo dustbins all throughout the village and every house containing beautiful gardens adorned with pretty flowers. Later we proceed to Cherrapunjee.

Cherrapunjee
Today’s journey is full of places to admire. We start with Nongriat Trek a very scenic as well as adventurous one. You’d be crossing many suspension bridges and root bridges along the forest trail. The Double Decker Root Bridge would be the highlight. Sit by the Double Decker root bridge and soak in the raw beauty of nature. If you enjoy swimming, do not forget to bring your swim-wear with you, you will need them when you find the kid inside you unable to hold back from jumping in the turquoise blue natural pools.

Today morning we proceed to Guwahati. We visit Mawsmai caves, Seven Sisters Falls, and Nohkalikai Falls – the tallest plunge waterfall in India. We also visit Ram Krishna Mission. Upon arrival at Guwahati we check in to our hotels and relax.

Guwahati – Departure to hometown
Today we visit the Kamakhya Temple – one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in the country.

See you all!! Tour Guests will proceed to Guwahati airport as per their schedule flight and start their return journey back home.

For transfers and sightseeing we will use small cars / Tempo Travellers / Mini or big coaches depending on the respective tour group size. In case of small cars there will be 5-6 guests in one car. If you wish to utilise the vehicle solely for yourself or your family or you would like to upgrade the vehicle, we can arrange the same at an additional cost subject to availability.

- As everyone is becoming a frequent traveller now, we suggest that you make your own travel accessories kit to ensure a stress free holiday.
- Always make sure to carry less and light luggage, use a four wheel small or medium suitcase and please make sure that you are carrying only one suitcase per person. This will ensure that you will travel smartly and without any inconveniences.
- It is also recommended that you have one cross shoulder bag or haversack for your handy needs which will ensure that you are comfortable at the time of sightseeing and also easy for photography during your tour.
