Do some workouts that you love
You’ll be more driven to complete something if you love it! If you enjoy swimming, rock climbing, Zumba, or yoga, for example, include it into your workout routine. You won’t even notice your workout if you’re having a good time!
Joining a walking group is another option to explore. Walking in a group has several advantages, including the opportunity to meet new people and the desire to go out and exercise.
Contrast the terrain and weather conditions
It’s critical that you go over your trip notes to get a sense of the terrain you’ll be travelling on throughout your adventure. Try to perform some walking that is as near to the circumstances you may encounter on your journey as possible. Also, keep in mind that hills are your friend! The more you train on hills, the more prepared you’ll be for your journey, especially if it’s in the mountains. The same is true for stairs. Only bring a day pack; the rest of your belongings will be transported to your campground or hotel. Water, food, extra clothes, and more room will most likely be carried in your day pack, which may be up to 6 kilometres long.

Determine how long it typically takes people to trek, then add a little more time as a buffer. Don’t forget to figure out how long it will take you to get there. Also, note the time the sunsets. After nightfall, you don’t want to be caught off guard.

Don’t overlook your core
Your core muscles include your abdominal muscles, back muscles, and pelvic muscles, and they provide you with balance and flexibility, as well as underpinning almost every other physical activity you’ll undertake on an athletic journey. Crunches, bridges, and planks are excellent workouts for developing a strong core, boost your core fitness game with these stability ball workouts.
Don’t forget about the warm-up hikes

The practise hikes are also crucial for another reason: you’ll get an opportunity to break in your boots (or buy new ones if your current ones aren’t supporting you properly). Nothing is more uncomfortable than hitting the trail in a pair of ill-fitting boots.
Keep in mind that new boots are rarely comfortable right out of the box. Some of the lighter leather versions may break in after only a few hikes, but some of the more durable leather models may take weeks to truly adapt to your foot.
