The Himalayan Ranges also have an unmissable charm and beauty attached to them. When you look at the Himalayas from a distance, you can just feel the might of these mountains. And when they get covered with snow, it is a sight to behold. And with points of interest like Mt. Everest and other amazing mountains and peaks, the Himalayas are every trek lover’s dream. There are a lot of hill stations in the Himalayas where one can visit and experience the beauty of these mountain ranges. 1. Kashmir

One simply cannot talk about the Himalayas and not mention Kashmir. Kashmir is known as the “Paradise on Earth” for its amazing beauty. And a part of that beauty is granted to Kashmir by the Himalayas. The peaks in Gulmarg are filled with abundant snow in winters, the serene Dal Lake also overlooks some amazing mountains and peaks. The apple orchards, saffron fields and the stunning valleys all across Kashmir are a testament to the beauty of the Himalayas. Kashmir is also probably one of the most popular hill stations in the Himalayas. No wonder why so many poets and writers have written sonnets and poems to describe their love for this place.

2. Ladakh

Another gem and one of the must-visit places to visit in the Himalayas, Ladakh possesses unimaginable beauty. The beautiful valleys such as the Zanskar, Markha, Nubra and Ripchar are all blessed with spellbinding patterns of nature. And with so much mystery and beauty tucked within them, there is no place like Ladakh to view the Himalayas. It is no surprise that Ladakh usually is on the top of the list of Himalaya Tourist Places. 3. Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand is always known as the original Dev Bhoomi. With so many spiritual places of worship, it is worthy of that title. However, Uttarakhand is also one of the most preferred places to visit in the Himalayas. The Himalayas in Uttarakhand are known as the ‘Garhwal Himalayas’. The peaks of Nanda Devi, Kamet, Abi Gamin, Mana Peak, Hardeol, Chaukhamba, Trishul I and more stand tall with pride. These places are absolute heaven for those who love trekking and mountain climbing. You simply cannot get enough of these places. And the grandeur of these Garhwal Himalayas is worthy of royalty.

4. Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh is one of the most beloved Himalaya tourist places. The name Himachal itself has been derived from the word Himalayas. Himachal Pradesh means - Land of Snowy Mountains. It is also one of the most important places in the Himalayas. Three tributaries of the River Indus (a very important river of the Himalayas) – Ravi, Chenab and Beas originate in Himachal Pradesh. These rivers and streams help make the valleys of Chamba, Lahaul-Spiti and Kullu-Manali rich in resources. You also get to experience hot water springs and immense beauty. Himachal Pradesh is undoubtedly home to some of the hidden places in the Himalayas.

5. Sikkim

Sikkim is a relatively small state but mesmerizing nonetheless. It also has some of the best Himalaya tourist places. The third highest mountain in the world, Kanchenjunga, can also be seen on the Sikkim-Nepal border. Sikkim is surrounded by the Himalayas along the northern, eastern and western borders. This is why you get to experience the stunning views of snow-covered mountains during the winters and lush greenery during summers. Sikkim also has hot springs that are renowned for their medicinal values. Some of the well-known sightseeing places in Sikkim are Gangtok, Lachung, Lachen, Pelling and more.

6. Darjeeling

The Himalayan Ranges in Darjeeling are known as 'Darjeeling Himalayas' or 'Darjeeling Himalayan Hill Station'. One of the most important rivers of Eastern India, the Teesta River, flows through Darjeeling. With stunning nature and a pleasant climate throughout the year, Darjeeling is a crowd favourite destination. Tea plantations, the toy train (also known as Darjeeling Himalayan Railway) and so many other attractions are all very worthy of being added to the list of best places to visit in the Himalayas.

7. Arunachal Pradesh

Known as Eastern Himalayas in Arunachal Pradesh, these mountain ranges make the eastern frontier of the Himalayas. Entering Arunachal Pradesh from Bhutan, the Himalayas also bring mesmerizing scenery and beauty along with them. Many iconic sightseeings like Ziro Valley, Sela Pass, Namdapha National Park and more are situated in the Himalayan belts. Arunachal Pradesh is a place that everyone should visit at least once in their life. It is already a beautiful state. And if you pair it with the Himalayas then it becomes magical. Arunachal Pradesh is also well known for its hidden places in the Himalayas.
