Senso Ji

According to the legends, Sacred Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva appears in different forms such as Juichimen, Senju, and Nyoirin.

The temple is an architectural masterpiece, where you can see a glimpse of the richness of Japanese culture. The main hall of the temple has two calligraphies, which focus on emphasising the compassionate and egalitarian nature of the Bodhisattva Kannon. The temple premise has many other places that you must cover during your visit. Yogodo Hall, Awashimado Hall, Five-storied Pagoda, and Nakamise shopping street are some of the close-by places, where you can see Japanese tradition and culture. Also, do not forget to buy some souvenirs from the shopping place.

Meiji Jingu

Meiji Jingu is yet another important place to visit in Tokyo, which is also known as Meiji Shrine. Established in 1920, it is dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken. It has a huge historical significance, where tourists visit to dive deep into the foregone era that is beautifully depicted in the old pictures and paintings hung on the walls of the picture gallery.

Another reason to visit here is the greenery all around. You will be surprised to know, there are more than 126,000 trees dotted in the outer area of the shrine. More than 350 varieties of plants are present here which gives it a cool shade, where you can walk and spend your afternoon. Imperial Palace
