Day 1

Arrive Auckland (1 night)

Welcome to New Zealand. On arrival in Auckland, ‘The City of Sails’. Self-drive guests will collect your rental car at the airport and drive to your hotel. Overnight in Auckland.

Day 2

Auckland - Waitomo – Rotorua (2 nights)

Travel south through the fertile Waikato region to arrive at Waitomo. Enjoy a guided tour of the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves including an underground boat ride viewing the millions of glow worms on the cavern roof. On completion continue over the forested Mamaku Ranges to reach the ‘Thermal City’ of Rotorua Overnight in Rotorua.

Rotorua – Te Puia, Rainbow Springs, Agrodome

Visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve to see boiling mudpools and roaring geysers. Following this, visit Rainbow Springs to see New Zealand’s trout, birds and wildlife before continuing to the Agrodome for a New Zealand farm show featuring sheep dog demonstrations, cow milking and an introduction to the stars of our sheep industry. The afternoon is at leisure. This evening enjoy an authentic Maori Hangi (feast) and Concert. Overnight in Rotorua

Rotorua – Wellington (2 nights)

Travel south to reach the popular lake resort of Taupo and along the shores of Lake Taupo to Turangi, before continuing on the Desert Road, dominated in the background by the three peaks of Ruapehu, Ngauruhoe and Tongariro. Continue south through lush farmland before arriving in the ‘Capital City’ of Wellington

Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Wellington on own and a short guided tour of Te Papa (the ‘Museum of New Zealand’) before enjoying a free afternoon to explore New Zealand’s capital city. Overnight in Wellington

Wellington – Picton – Kaikoura (1 night)

Journey across Cook Strait and into the Marlborough Sounds before arriving in Picton. Travel south through the town of Blenheim, before reaching Kaikoura – here you might like to take an optional whalewatch cruise or scenic flight (optional activities not included in the tour price). Overnight in Kaikoura

Kaikoura - Christchurch (1 night)

Leave Kaikoura behind as you turn inland and travel through North Canterbury to reach the ‘Garden City’ of Christchurch. Overnight in Christchurch

Travel across the fertile Canterbury Plains before arriving at Lake Tekapo. Visit the ‘Church of the Good Shepherd’ before continuing onto Mt Cook National Park. Overnight in Mount Cook

Mount Cook - Queenstown (2 nights)

Follow the shores of Lake Pukaki south to the small town of Twizel before continuing through the historic Central Otago region to Lake Wakatipu and the ‘Alpine Resort’ of Queenstown. Overnight in Queenstown

Queenstown

Queenstown – Milford Sound – Te Anau (1 night)

Follow the southern arm of Lake Wakatipu to Lumsden, and onward to Lake Te Anau. Enter the Eglinton Valley and travel through the breath taking man made Homer Tunnel to reach Milford Sound. Enjoy a cruise on this world famous fiord, dominated by Mitre Peak. Return to Te Anau. Overnight in Te Anau

Te Anau - Dunedin (1 night)

Cross the fertile Southland Plains through Gore and Balclutha to South Otago. Then travel north to the ‘Edinburgh of the South’, Dunedin. The afternoon is free for optional activities. Overnight in Dunedin

  • Any optional tours, excursions, supplement costs, services and activities not mentioned in the itinerary inclusions
  • Any extra cost incurred on behalf of any individual due to illness, accident , hospitalization or any personal emergency
  • GST 5% (Government Tax) on total package price
  • Entrance tickets to attractions other than mentioned above or optional tours or wherever specified

Cancellation Policy

  • If the Guest decides to cancel the tour for any reason whatsoever then s/he shall give a written application to the Company within specified time limit along with original receipt issued by the Company. Such cancellation will attract cancellation charges stated hereunder.
  • Cancellation charges will be calculated on gross tour cost and the cancellation charges shall depend on date of departure and date of cancellation
  • Cancellation charges for any type of transport ticket are applicable as per the rules of the concerned authority.
  • Air tickets issued on special fares are NON REFUNDABLE and Guest shall bear cancellation charges.
  • Any refund payable to the Guest will be paid after the Company receives refund from the respective authorities. The Company deducts processing charges from the refund to be paid to the Guest.

Remarks

  • Airlines/Room up-gradation and complimentary will not be entertained during the tour unless if specified at the time of booking.
  • There is no refund for any services not utilized during the tour.
  • Security deposit is required either in cash or credit card by hotels which is refundable provided no room incidentals are incurred. This security deposit is not included in this quote and must be paid by the guests/corporate directly to the hotel when checking in.
  • Guests are advised not to keep valuables in the coach/vehicle while sightseeing. The Company shall not be responsible for loss of valuables from the coach / vehicle . If the coach / vehicle is accidentally or otherwise damaged by the Guest, s/he will be required to pay compensation for the same.

  • We will not be liable for claims or expenses arising from circumstances beyond our control such as accidents, injuries delayed or cancelled flights & acts or forces of nature. Important notes for self-drive:
  • The Self Drive Vehicle used is a IDAR Intermediate Type Vehicle.
  • You can legally drive in New Zealand for up to 12 months if you have either a current driver’s license from your home country or an International Driving Permit (IDP).Make sure your driver’s license is current. If your license is not in English, you should bring an English translation with you, or obtain an IDP.
  • You will only be able to drive the same types of vehicles you are licensed to drive in your home country. The common legal age to rent a car in New Zealand is 21 years.
  • Include unlimited mileage and basic daily insurance cover.
  • GPS Units and insurance wavier options can be provided for a supplementary cost and must be pre-booked.
  • The speed limit on open roads is 100km/h (approx 60m/h). In urban areas the speed limit is 50km/h
  • A credit card imprint is taken for the bond at the time of vehicle collection and destroyed at termination of the hire, provided that the vehicle is returned in the same condition that it left the depot and with full petrol tank. In case a credit card is unavailable, a cash deposit is required (under the condition that the Insurance Waiver is purchased) and will be refunded (if no damage on the rental car and vehicle returned with full petrol tank).
