•    Thalaiyar Falls or Rat Tail Falls: This is the highest waterfall in Tamil Nadu cradled in the lush green slopes of the Palani Hills. Visitors can view this waterfall from the Dum Dum Rock viewing point. Legend has it that Lord Muruga used to visit this place on his way to the Palani Hills.

•    Bryant Park: Another star attraction in the list of places that feature in Kodai tours and travels is Bryant Park. This park is situated on the Eastern side of Kodai Lake and the Coakers Walk leads to this place. Along with being a popular picnic spot for tourists and locals alike, this park also allures Horticulture enthusiasts from all over the country. •    Kodaikanal Solar Observatory: Located amidst the verdant Palani Range is the Kodaikanal Observatory of the Indian Institute of Astrophysics. This lab is known to have some of the oldest Solar Data and is as such extremely important for various research projects. How To Reach Kodaikanal

•    By Flight: The Madurai Airport which is at a distance of about 120 km is the closest to Kodaikanal. Most of the reputed airlines operate flights connecting the Madurai airport to the rest of the country. From the airport, travellers can hire cabs to reach Kodaikanal and the journey usually takes 3-4 hours. Alternatively, people can also take a flight to the Coimbatore International Airport and then travel to the hill station by taxi. The drive from Coimbatore to Kodaikanal usually takes 4-5 hours.     

•    By Train: Kodai Road is the nearest railway station to Kodaikanal and is at a distance of about 80-90 kms from the hill station. People coming to Kodai Road can reach the hill station in 2-3 hours by hiring a taxi from the station. Many travellers prefer to travel to Kodaikanal by train as the picturesque landscape that they get to see all along the way already set the stage for a mesmerizing vacation.

•    By Road:  Kodaikanal is well-connected to cities like Bangalore, Ooty and Chennai via a good network of roads. However, since Kodaikanal is a hill station, people have to navigate winding roads, which may not be in very good condition, especially during the monsoons.
