Travel Guidelines 2022

Last year in 2020 the entire world faced an unprecedented situation with the outbreak of the pandemic. Many travel restrictions were imposed by various state and central governments of countries around the world. Many of these regulations are in place now and it is our duty as responsible citizens to abide by them.

We request all guests to abide by the mandatory requirements for travel to the destination, such as RT-PCR tests, web check-in, self-declaration, e-pass formalities etc. as per the state/country, which are subject to change periodically. Any cost incurred for such requirements should be borne by the guests.

Guests must ensure the following:

  • If testing for COVID-19 is a travel requirement for entry to the state/country, the guests will have to take the specified test (72/96 hours prior) and carry the test reports, which must be valid at the time of entry as per the state/country guidelines. In case the result of the COVID-19 test is positive prior to the tour, guest will not be able to join the said tour. Get in touch with travel advisor for alternate solution.
  • If Self-Health Declaration is a travel requirement then kindly fill-in the same.
  • It is advisable to download and register your details on the Aarogya Setu App which should be presented to the said officials if asked for. A green status on your Aarogya Setu App is required for travel.
  • It is mandatory to use a mask and carry hand sanitizer at all times while on tour
  • Social distancing should be followed stringently at all times.
  • Maintaining personal hygiene is a must at all times during the tour.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines as outlined by Hotels/Airlines/Associates/sightseeing places
  • Intimation to respective representative, Tour Manager or Travel advisor is must, if you observe any symptoms related to COVID-19, so necessary precautions can be taken to avoid further spread.

Kindly note given the current dynamic situation some monuments or sightseeing places may be closed temporarily without any prior notice; in such cases every attempt will be made to visit an alternate sightseeing if possible.

 3. It is mandatory to follow COVID appropriate behavior (Wearing mask, maintaining social distancing, etc.) at all times, irrespective of status of vaccination.
 4. All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App.
 5. HAND WRITTEN REPORTS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.
 6.Passengers shall not be allowed to pick up their checked-in baggage at the arrival hall. The same shall be handed over to them at the testing center
 Exemptions:
 Passengers below 2 years of age are exempted from the above.

Arunachal PradeshGuests Obligation1. Passengers are required to download the Arogya Setu App.
2. Rapid Test will be done for all travellers.
3. Fully Vaccinated travellers need to carry certificate.
4. While applying for tourist inner line permit, following documents should be submitted:
i. Valid COVID-19 negative certificate of tourist.
ii. Tour booking slip.
iii. Tour itinerary with details of place of visit and stay.
iv. Details of vehicle, driver, and tour guide information

AssamGuests Obligation1.Download Aarogya Setu App
2.All passengers who are vaccinated with two doses of Covid-19 vaccines and possess final vaccination certificate are exempted from mandatory testing on arrival.
3.Passengers who are vaccinated with single dose or not having any vaccination and those who are symptomatic even with two doses of vaccination shall have to undergo mandatory RT-PCR testing at their own cost on arrival in Assam, for which subsidized rate of Rs. 250/- only per RT-PCR test shall be charged.
Screening1. Thermal screening will be conducted upon arrivals
2. All passengers arriving into Assam shall mandatorily undergo RAT test upon arrival at their own cost (maximum INR 500)
3. If the test result of the RAT test is positive, the passenger will have to undergo home isolation or get admitted in private hospital or Government Health Institution depending on his/her medical condition.
4. If the test result of the RAT test is negative, the passenger will have to undergo RT-PCR at the airport itself. The cost of the RT-PCR test (maximum INR 250) shall be borne by the passenger.
5. Passengers shall be allowed to leave the airport once the sample/swab for RT-PCR test has been collected and with the condition that he/she shall remain under home quarantine until the result is declared
6. If the test result of the RT-PCR test is positive, the passenger will have to undergo home isolation or get admitted in private hospital or Government Health Institution depending on his/her medical condition.
7. If the test result of the RT-PCR test is negative, the passenger can continue his/her activities adhering to COVID-19 behavior and norms of the state.
QuarantineMandatory 7 days home quarantine for all passengers even if the test of the result conducted on arrival is negative.
ChandigarhGuests Obligation1. Download Aarogya Setu App.
2. All passenger must register on the COVA Punjab App before commencing the journey.
3. Ensure while travelling to Chandigarh are in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate of not older than 72Hours or final vaccination certificate (two doses completed).
4.Not applicable to infants and children below the age of 10 years.
Screening1. Thermal screening for all passengers.
2. Passengers travelling to Chandigarh are mandatorily required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative report of not older than 72 hours from an ICMR accredited lab or a COVID-19 vaccination Final Certificate (two doses completed). RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.

DelhiGuests Obligation1. RT-PCR test report is not required for passengers travelling to Delhi from any state.
2. The random testing on arrival will be done for passengers.
3. The cost of the RT-PCR testing will be borne by the Delhi Government.
4. Post testing, the passengers will be free to exit the buidling.
5. There will be no testing for transfer passengers.
6. All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App.    
Screening1. Thermal screening for all passengers.
2. In view of the surge in number of COVID-19 cases, random sample collection will be done for passengers arriving from states where there has been a spurt in number for COVID-19 cases.
3. Passengers will be allowed to exit after sample collection.
Quarantine1. Passengers who are found positive will be quarantined at home or CCC/CHC/Hospital for 10 days.
GoaGuest Obligation1. It is thereby clarified that, COVID negative certificate shall mean RT-PCR/ TrueNat/ CBNAAT, Rapid Antigen Test or any other test as approved by ICMR.
2. Fully vaccinated passengers who have completed 15 days after the second dose are permitted to enter in Goa. However they need to possess the vaccination certificate with them on arrival.
3. Passengers without final vaccination certificate mandatorily have to carry a COVID negative test report for a test done a maximum of 72 hours prior to entering in Goa.
4. Passenger entering in Goa for medical emergency , on production of proof are exempted from testing.
5. All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App.

Screening1. Health screening shall be conducted for all passengers.
Quarantine1. No Quarantine.
2. Passengers arriving from Kerala are subject to 5 days home quarantine.
GujaratGuest Obligation1. Passengers arriving into Gujarat are not required to posses negative RT-PCR certificate anymore.
2. However, passengers must ensure that they continue wearing masks, carry sanitizers, and maintain social distancing at all times.
3. Symptomatic individuals (Covid-19 or flu like symptoms) should avoid Non-essential and interstate travel to reduce the risk of infection.
4. If any symptoms of COVID is seen, the passenger will have to get the test done at the airport on arrival.
5. All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App.
*Directive for passengers arriving from Kerala and Maharashtra:
1. Carry RT-PCR Negative Test Report done within 72 hours Prior to departure.
2. If any passenger is not carrying RT-PCR then passenger shall undergo free of cost Rapid Antigen test on arrival.
3. Passengers suffering from any disease have to undergo RAT test on arrival and immediately should isolate accordingly.                                                                     4. If the passenger's RAT test found negative then the sample shall be send for RT-PCR test.
 5. If the passenger is found covid-19  positive then the passenger should get admitted for treatment as per the guidelines and Genome Sequence shall be done.
 6. If passengers do not have symptoms but yet to take vaccination then they should monitor themselves for a period of 14 days and send details to medical officer for follow up.
Exemption
Passengers in possession of full vaccination certificate and have completed 15 days after second dose, provided they do not have any symptoms.

2. Any passengers carrying a negative RT-PCR test report from the ICMR recognized laboratories issued within 48 hours of their travel are permitted to enter without having to undergo a re-test at the entry point.

2. Passengers arriving from Maharashtra have to submit self-declaration on the same, to effect while boarding.
3. Passengers should compulsorily undergo thermal scanning for fever on arrival. 4. Passengers must carry the Covid-19 vaccination completion certificate for both two doses.
5. Passengers should compulsorily wear face masks & follow the Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) throughout their stay in Bangalore and Karnataka
6. All passengers have to produce a valid return ticket.
Screening1. Thermal Screening for all passengers.
QuarantineMandatory 7 day institutional quarantine for All students arriving from Kerala State in pursuance of their studies in any discipline but not restricted to nursing, medical, engineering, para medical, etc.
Kerala (E-pass Mandatory)Guest Obligation1. The RT-PCR negative test report is not required for the passengers who have taken two doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
2. The passengers possessing final vaccination certificate should carry the certificate while attending the activities for which RT-PCR report is made mandate. However those who have developed symptoms of COVID-19 shall undergo RT-PCR test and carry the negative result.
3. Passengers who visit the State for a short period for purposes like business, official, trade, medical, court cases, property management or any like purposes shall be mandatory required to carry RT-PCR negative report not earlier than 72 hours . RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.
4. All passengers shall be required to register their details on https://covid19jagratha.kerala.nic.in/ and obtain e-pass.
5. Upon arrival, passengers are required to show their e-pass to the Health Officials at airport.
6. All passengers intending to visit any other State or UT after entering Kerala shall be required to have the entry pass for Kerala and the State or UT s/he intends to visit.
7. All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App.
Exemptions: 
Infants (0-2 years)
The Standard Operating Procedure(SOP) for travelers visiting Kerala.
1. All passengers travelling into Kerala should register in e-Jagratha portal.
2. If passengers undertaking RT-PCR test on arrival, isolation is must at their respective places of stay till RT-PCR report is available.
3. If RT-PCR test is positive, patient should seek medical attention from health institution.
4. If RT-PCR test is negative, the passenger should follow strict universal masking, safe distancing and hand hygiene during their stay in Kerala. If they develop symptoms(fever, cough, sore throat, breathlessness, muscle pain, fatigability, anosmia, diarrhoea) during their stay in Kerala, they should seek medical attention immediately.
5. Passengers who do not carry a negative RT-PCR nor are fully vaccinated, can avail testing facility on arrival.

Quarantine1. 14 days of Home Quarantine for all passengers who are not in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate and are not willing to undergo RT-PCR upon arrival.
2. Not applicable for passengers arriving into the city of Kannur
Leh LadakhGuest Obligation1. Download Aarogya Setu App
2. Passengers arriving into Ladakh must have a negative RT-PCR report done within 96 hours before their arrival.
3. RT-PCR testing upon arrival is available for the passengers, however they will be quarantined at their own expense till the report is received.
Screening1. Thermal screening shall be done for all passengers.
2. Negative RT-PCR report on arrival (not earlier than 96 hours prior to arrival) is required for all passengers arriving into Leh Ladakh . RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.
3. Passengers in possession of final vaccination certificate, i.e., those who have taken both doses and have completed 15 days since the receipt of the 2nd dose shall be exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR requirement
Quarantine1. Passengers who are declared the suspects in the Aarogya Setu App will mandatorily be home quarantined for 14 days..
2. Passengers may have to be tested for COVID & if tested positive, passengers will be transferred to COVID facility for further processing.
3. If test report is negative then the passengers shall be released from mandatory quarantine

2. Passengers arriving from Maharashtra State are are required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative report of not older than 72 hours from an ICMR accredited lab.
3. Those not in possession of RT-PCR report upon arrival shall be required to undergo the test on arrival free of cost.
4. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.
Quarantine1. Self isolation for passengers arriving from Maharashtra without negative RT-PCR report till the report results are not received.
2. Upon giving the sample for testing, passengers are expected to contact the COVID team at the airport & download the Indore-311 app for monitoring of self isolation status.
MaharashtraGuest ObligationDownload Aarogya Setu App
Screening1. Thermal screening shall be done for all passengers.
2. All passengers arriving into Maharashtra either have to be fully vaccinated or compulsorily carry a negative RT-PCR test done within 72 hours of arrival into the state, without any exemption. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.
3.  In extremely exceptional cases, RT-PCR shall be allowed for domestic passengers at Mumbai airport on arrival.
4.Passengers in possession of final vaccination certificate, i.e., those who have taken both doses and completed 15 days from the receipt of the 2nd dose shall be exempted from pre-departure RT-PCR requirement.
5. Passenger not in possession of the same shall be denied boarded at the origin station.
Quarantine1. Passengers who test positive will be sent for institutional quarantine in Mumbai. 2. Asymptomatic passengers are required to undergo 14 days of home quarantine. i.e. 7 days paid institutional quarantine at their own cost, followed by 7 days isolation at home with self-monitoring of health.
3. If it is a returning/onward journey within 7 days then no quarantine is required.                                                                  
*Exempted passengers for institutional quarantine:
1. Elderly passengers above 65 years of age.
2. Pregnant women in advanced state of pregnancy.
3. Both parents accompanying children below 5 years of age.
4. Passengers who have completed their both Covid- 19 vaccine dosage (on production of both vaccination certificates and also a self-declaration in prescribed format has to be produced).
ManipurGuests Obligation1. Download Aarogya Setu App
2. Must apply for epass to the Deputy Commissioner of their home district at least 2 days in advance.
3. Passenger seeking exemption from pre departure RT-PCR/TRUENAT/CB NAAT/Rapid Antigen tests to ensure they are fully vaccinated i.e. those who have received both does of the COVID-19 Vaccine and have completed 15 days from the receipt of the 2nd dose and are possession of their vaccination certificate at the time of travel.

2. Mandatory for passengers aged 5 years and above arriving from ANY state to carry a RT-PCR/TRUENAT/CB-NAAT/RAT negative report from ICMR approved lab not earlier than 72 hours. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time
3. Fully vaccinated passengers i.e. those who have received both the doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and have completed 15 days from the receipt of the 2nd dose shall be exempted from the requirement of pre-departure RT-PCR/TRUENAT/CB-NAAT/Rapid Antigen tests on the production of valid vaccination certificate.

MeghalayaGuests Obligation1. All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App.
2. All passengers must register on the State portal to generate a unique e-invite http://meghalayaonline.gov.in/covid/testing.htm
3. All passengers are required to download Behavioural Change Management App of Meghalaya from Google Play Store.
4. All passengers travelling for the purpose tourism are required to register on Meghalaya Portal https://meghalaya.gov.in/ and generate e-invite for tourists
Screening1. All passengers including those who are fully vaccinated travelling to Meghalaya are advised to be in possession of RT-PCR negative report not earlier than 72 hours from the arrival into the state. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.
2. Passengers not in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate shall be required to undergo test on arrival at their own cost and isolate themselves till the receipt of the report
3. Exemption from on arrival testing - Passengers in possession of RT-PCR negative report from ICMR approved lab issued no earlier than 72 hours from their arrival into the state. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time
Quarantine1. All passengers undergoing RT-PCR test on arrival shall be required to undergo 7 days home or paid quarantine as designated by the authorities on arrival regardless of their result.
2. All passengers entering and exiting the state on the same day shall be required to be confined to their area of work.
Mizoram (e-pass mandatory)Guests Obligation1. All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App.
2. All passengers must obtain m-Pass from mcovid19.mizoram.gov in or mCovid19 App.
Screening1. Thermal screening for all passengers.
2. All passengers with or without negative COVID-19 report will be subjected mandatory Rapid Antigen Test upon arrival.
Quarantine1. All arriving passengers after undergoing RAT test on arrival shall be quarantined in a facility appointed by the Government or Deputy Commissioner and shall undergo RT-PCR/True NAT test after 5 days. If negative shall be released from quarantine.
2. Exemptions from Quarantine and on arrival testing:
- Passengers looking for exemption from quarantine and on arrival testing can do so if in possession of negative RT-PCR/ True Nat/ CBNAAT, conducted from an ICMR approved lab within 72 hours of arrival into the state. RT-PCR/ True Nat/ CBNAAT timeline starts from the time of sample collection.
- Be in possession of final vaccination certificate (i.e. both the doses complete and should have surpassed 15 days from the receipt of the 2nd dose).
- Be in possession of Certificate of discharge from Home Isolation or COVID care facility issued by the competent authority within 3 months prior to the date of entry into the state.
OdishaGuests Obligation1. All incoming passengers from all states have to produce mandatory RAT/ RT-PCR negative report which must be done maximum 48 hours prior to arrival in Bhubaneswar or a final dose of COVID vaccination certificate.
2. People coming without such report shall have to undergo mandatory RAT test at the testing facility created at Bhubaneswar Airport.
3. Rapid Antigen Test is available on arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport (free of cost) for the passengers not carrying RT-PCR test report or 2nd dose of Vaccination report.
4. All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App.

Screening1. Thermal Screening as per COVID protocol will be carried out for all the departing passengers arriving from any state.
Quarantine1. Any arriving passenger failing to produce RT-PCR negative/ RAT negative report or Final COVID Vaccination Certificate will have to undergo mandatory RAT test at the testing facility at the airport.
2. Any passenger who tests positive, will have to undergo 7 days mandatory home/ institutional quarantine/ paid quarantine and will be further dealt as per  the treatment protocol. 
PunjabGuests Obligation1.Download Aarogya Setu App
2. Must register on register on COVA Punjab App before commencing their journey.
3. Passengers arriving into Punjab are required to carry the below:
 i. Certificate of Full/ Final Vaccination (both doses) OR
 ii. Negative RT-PCR certificate of the last 72 hours.
Exemptions:
 1. Infants and children below 10 years.
 2. Covid recovered patients.
Screening1. Thermal screening for all passengers.
2. It is mandatory for passengers arriving in the state of Punjab from other states/UT to carry a negative RT-PCR report not earlier than 72 hours from an ICMR approved laboratory or be in possession of vaccination certificate (at least one dose) over 2 weeks old.
3. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.
QuarantineNo quarantine for Domestic Passenger
Rajasthan (Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur)Guest Obligation1. It is MANDATORY for passengers arriving from other states to carry a COVID negative report from an ICMR approved lab not earlier than 72 hours.
2. All passengers must submit Self-Health Declaration and go through screening process.
3.Passengers traveling to Udaipur are mandatorily required to upload a copy of their RT-PCR negative report on http://emitra.rajasthan.gov.in
4. All passengers must download Aarogya setu App.
Screening1. Thermal screening shall be done for all passengers
2. COVID test shall be done for all symptomatic passengers.
3. Random RT-PCR testing shall be done.
4. Oxygen saturation testing shall be done.
Quarantine1. Symptomatic passengers shall be isolated and taken to nearest health facility.
2. Passengers not having RT-PCR report, can get the test done on arrival at the airport and then they have to undergo 15 days institutional quarantine until their test report is negative. Home quarantine will be allowed only after registering under form
Exemption: Passengers in possession of vaccination certificate showing 1 dose complete and  Infant under 2 years
SikkimGuests Obligation1. Download 'Aarogya Setu App'.
2. Guests shall compulsory register themselves at https://www.sikkimtourism.gov.in/Public/Index/mandatorytourist before travelling to Sikkim.
Screening1. Thermal screening for all passengers.
2. Only those passengers who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are permitted to travel to Sikkim.
3. If a family is travelling together as tourists to Sikkim and at least one of them is fully vaccinated (both doses) and others are partially vaccinated (one dose) or accompanied by children below the age of 18 years, all of them would still be permitted to enter Sikkim, provided that a valid negative RT-PCR test report must be carried by all those members who are only partially vaccinated & children below the age of 18 years.
4. Test for their RT-PCR report should have been conducted within 72 hours prior to arrival.
Quarantine1. If any tourist arrives without a test, then they should get It done at the nearest COVID-19 testing centres at specified testing locations in the state.
Tamil Nadu (e-pass Mandatory)Guests Obligation1. Download Aarogya Setu App
2. All passengers travelling to Tamil Nadu shall be required to register on State website and obtain TN e-pass - https://eregister.tnega.org)/#/user/pass
Screening1. Thermal screening mandatory for all passengers.
2. Passengers originating their journey from any city in Kerala state to any city in Tamil Nadu state shall be mandatorily required to be in possession of RT-PCR negative certificate of not older than 72Hours from an ICMR accredited lab or final vaccination certificate (i.e. both doses complete). RT-PCR timeline starts from the time of sample collection.
3.For passenger arriving in CJB, following shall apply:
- It is advisable for all passengers arriving in CJB to have carry a negative RT-PCR report not earlier than 72 hours. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time. The same is not applicable for passengers travelling from other cities within Tamil Nadu.
- In case the passenger arrives without RT-PCR report, COVID testing shall be done free of cost at the airport and the passengers shall be released after sample is taken. Further action will be taken basis the test result.
4. Customers who undergo test on arrival and are:
- Found to be positive and symptomatic, will be taken to hospital isolation.
- Found to be negative and asymptomatic, will have to undergo for self monitoring for 14 days.
- Found to be negative and symptomatic, will be taken to hospital isolation and decided based on Medical Opinion.
Quarantine1. 07 days of Home Quarantine & 07 days of self monitoring for all passengers arriving into Tamil Nadu from Maharashtra & Kerala.                                                 2. 14 days of self monitoring for all passengers arriving into Tamil Nadu from other states/UT.

iii. Pregnant women
iv. Children below the age of 10 years

2. It is mandatory for passengers to carry RT-PCR/TrueNAT/CBNAAT/RAT negative report from ICMR accredited labs done within last 72 hours. RT-PCR/TrueNAT/CBNAAT/RAT timeline starts from the swab collection time.

Quarantine1. Customers arriving into the city of Mumbai from UK, European and Middle East Countries shall have to undergo mandatory institutional quarantine at their own cost. Such customers shall not undergo a RT-PCR test upon arrival however they will have to undergo the test during the 5th to 7th day of their quarantine at their own cost. If found negative customers shall be allowed to proceed to 7 days mandatory home quarantine.

Guest Obligation1. A valid negative COVID 19 PCR test certificate with a QR code issued within 48 hours of the time the sample was collected from an approved health facility.
2. A rapid PCR test report with a QR code for a test conducted at the departure airport within six hours of departure.
3. The certificate must be a Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test. Other test certificates including antibody tests, NHS COVID Test certificates, Rapid PCR tests and home testing kits are not accepted in Dubai. b) Four weeks after the shot for one-shot vaccines (Johnson & Johnson);
c) Seven days after the shot for vaccines administered to people who have already had COVID-19 (only one dose is necessary).

2. Travellers who are not vaccinated shall follow the below mentioned rules:

b) If you have previously contracted COVID-19, instead of a negative test result you may present a certificate of recovery dated more than 11 days and less than 6 months prior to the date of arrival. c) You may be subject to a random test when you arrive in France.

If a passenger presents a document that is rejected, i.e. if any of the necessary requirements are missing, the passenger must, as other arrival passengers, undergo double testing with a 5 day quarantine in between tests. If less than 14 days have passed since the second shot (or from single vaccination with the Janssen vaccine), one test upon arrival in Iceland is required and rules on quarantine need to be followed until the results are received.
