Travel Guidelines 2021

Last year in 2020 the entire world faced an unprecedented situation with the outbreak of the pandemic. Many travel restrictions were imposed by various state and central governments of countries around the world. Many of these regulations are in place now and it is our duty as responsible citizens to abide by them.

We request all guests to abide by the mandatory requirements for travel to the destination, such as RT-PCR tests, web check-in, self-declaration, e-pass formalities etc. as per the state/country, which are subject to change periodically. Any cost incurred for such requirements should be borne by the guests.

Guests must ensure the following:

  • If testing for Covid-19 is a travel requirement for entry to the state/country, the guests will have to take the specified test (72/96 hrs prior) and carry the test reports, which must be valid at the time of entry as per the state/country guidelines. In case the result of the Covid-19 test is positive prior to the tour, guest will not be able to join the said tour. Get in touch with travel advisor for alternate solution.
  • If Self-Health Declaration is a travel requirement then kindly fill-in the same.
  • It is advisable to download and register your details on the Aarogya Setu App which should be presented to the said officials if asked for. A green status on your Aarogya Setu App is required for travel.
  • It is mandatory to use a mask and carry handsanitizer at all times while on tour
  • Social distancing should be followed stringently at all times.
  • Maintaining personal hygiene is a must at all times during the tour.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines as outlined by Hotels/Airlines/Associates/sightseeing places
  • Intimation to respective representative, Tour Manager or Travel advisor is must, if you observe any symptoms related to Covid, so necessary precautions can be taken to avoid further spread.

Kindly note given the current dynamic situation some monuments or sightseeing places may be closed temporarily without any prior notice; in such cases every attempt will be made to visit an alternate sightseeing if possible.

2. While applying for tourist inner line permit, following documents should be submitted:
i. Valid COVID - 19 negative certificate of tourist.
ii. Tour booking slip.
iii. Tour itinerary with details of place of visit and stay.
iv. Details of vehicle, Driver, and Tour Guide Information

RT-PCR TEST-
1. Passengers who have undergone COVID-19 RT-PCR Test from ICMR approved centres not before 72 hrs of their arrival at GAU (Guwahati Airport) and their test results are negative are exempted from COVID-19 Test at Airport.
2. Elderly passengers above age 75 are exempted from Test.
3. Those who have not undergone RT- PCR test before arrival ,COVID-19 swab test will be conducted upon arrivals. Antigen test available in GAU (Guwahati Airport).
4. Antigen Test result is Positive then Passengers will be moved to COVID-19 facility for further processing.
5. Antigen Test result is Negative then, SWAB test will be done and  sent for RT-PCR test. Passenger are allowed to proceed and Home Quarantine for 5 days within which RT-PCR results will be shared.
Quarantine1. Passengers not willing to quarantine can present the RTPCR Test results as negative.

3. Free of cost optional antigen test upon arrival. Passengers can opt for it if they wish.
Quarantine1. Passengers who are *asymptomatic* and entering Gujarat will not be quarantined. They will be permitted to go with advice that they will self-monitor their health for 14 days.

3. All guests travelling to the state would have to register on https://covid19epass.hp.gov.in. After registration, a QR code would be generated that would be scanned at borders

Government have allowed them to visit the State for a period up to 7 days without mandatory quarantine ONLY after obtaining entry passes through COVID-19 jagratha portal.
- Details of local itinerary along with the purpose of visit and local accommodation and contact person to be provided.
- For any other reasons, authorities to be informed with valid reasons.

3. Mandatory Rapid Antigen Test upon arrival  if not carrying COVID-19 negative certificate using RT-PCR Test, no later than 96 hours before their arrival in Ladakh from ICMR approved Test laboratories.
4. To Submit Self-Health Declaration upon arrival.

 2. COVID-19 negative report (not earlier than 72 hours of arrival) are MANDATORY for entry into Ladakh.
Quarantine1. If Passengers are not carrying COVID-19 negative report then mandatory Institutional Quarantine till declaration of their results.
2. Passengers may have to be tested for COVID-19 & if tested positive, passengers will be transferred to COVID-19 facility for further processing.
3. If test report is negative then the passengers shall be released from mandatory quarantine.

Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Rajasthan by road, air and train to Uttarakhand are advised to carry negative RT-PCR test report (test done 72 hours prior to the time of arrival to Uttarakhand state).

2. Passengers with positive COVID result will be sent to quarantine centre for further processing.

Exception-Passengers exiting Uttar Pradesh within 7 days of arrival shall be exempted from Mandatory Quarantine subject to validation of return/onward travel.

4. Customers falling under the category of pre-arrival RT-PCR required to attach a copy of their negative test result while completing their health declaration on the IMUGA portal. This needs to be done both for departure and arrival.
5. The QR code obtained to be made readily available for verification by immigration upon entry in Maldives.
6. To present test result in paper or electronic format during the airline check-in.
7. Tourists arriving to the Maldives from India (including those exceeding transit stays of 24 hours) who have completed the prescribed dose(s) of a Covid-19 vaccine, must hold a negative result for a nucleic acid test (PCR test) for COVID- l9 prior to entry into the Maldives.
8. The sample for said PCR test must be taken not more than 96 hours prior to the scheduled time of departure from the first port of embarkation en-route to the Maldives.
9. All above mentioned tourists should undertake a PCR test for COVID- l9 within a maximum of 72 hours prior to their departure from the Maldives.
Screening1. Thermal screening for all passengers.
Quarantine1. Not subjected to a 14 day quarantine however must be in possession of RT PCR negative certificate in English in print or electronic form, from a government-approved laboratory in India (ICMR) issued no more than 96 hours before departure. 96 Hours is calculated from the time for sample collection.
2. RT-PCR certificate must contain name as per passport, name and address of the testing laboratory, Type of test, date of sample collection and result.
Rules1. All travellers coming to India need to submit the self declaration form on the online Air Suvidha Portal www.newdelhiairport.in before their scheduled travel and also upload a COVID-19 negative RT-PCR report. This test needs to be conducted within 72 hours of conducting the journey.
2. COVID-19 test be done at the resort in Maldives 2 days before the scheduled departure time which costs USD 175 per person for flying back to India (payable directly at the resort by the guest).
DubaiThermal Screening1. Thermal screening for all passengers.
Guests Obligation1. Passengers must hold a VALID Covid-19 test certificate, from a government-approved laboratory in India (ICMR) or a certified designated laboratory which is available on https://www.icmr.gov.in issued within 48 hours from the time of collecting the sample up to departure.
2. The time of sample collection - “Date & Time” and time of reporting “Result date and Result time” should be accurate.
3. The certificate must be in printed format and must indicate a NEGATIVE test result, described either in ARABIC or ENGLISH, issued from a certified lab at the point of origin, where the passenger is travelling from.
4. It is MANDATORY that the report includes a QR code which is linked to the original report, for verification purposes by the airlines through a cell phone and validation by the representatives of Health Authority upon passenger arrival at Dubai Airport.
5. The certificate must be a Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test. Other test certificates including antibody tests and home testing kits are not accepted.
6. SMS and digital certificates and Handwritten certificates are not acceptable.
Quarantine1. None, if on arrival Covid test is negative.
Rules1. Passengers must carry a negative RT-PCR certificate in printed form, issued no more than 72 hours before departure.
2. COVID test facility is available on arrival. All passengers must undergo a PCR test upon arrival into India as well.
3. All passengers must download Aarogya Setu app.
4. All travellers should
(i) submit self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal (www.newdelhiairport.in) before the scheduled travel
(ii) upload a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR report. This test should have been conducted within 72 hrs prior to undertaking the journey. Each passenger shall also submit a declaration with respect to authenticity of the report and will be liable for criminal prosecution, if found otherwise.
Sri LankaThermal Screening1. Thermal screening for all passengers.
Guests Obligation1. All travellers arriving in Sri Lanka should mandatorily carry a negative COVID-19 test report in English language.
2. All travellers of twelve years and above should undergo COVID19 PCR test on arrival (Day One) from a Ministry of Health approved private sector laboratory or a state sector laboratory.
3. Each traveller should submit a completed Health Declaration Form to the staff of the Airport Health Office at the health counters of arriving airport. Separate forms should be submitted for each of accompanying children if any. Travellers who have completed the recommended doses of the COVID-19 vaccination and departs from abroad after two weeks of completion of vaccination, should produce the vaccination certificate/ card to Airport Health Officer at arriving airport.
4. Travellers who have received the recommended doses of COVID-19 vaccine should carry the original vaccination certificate / card (together with a certified copy of English language translation if the certificate/card is not in English or if relevant data are not indicated in English in a non - English certificate / card) or a verifiable evidence of vaccination.
Quarantine1. Passengers who are vaccinated and/or have tested Covid negative on arrival are allowed to move between Safe Secure Certified Level 1 Hotels in a biosecure travel bubble and can visit approved important sites in a biosecure travel bubble from the date where the on arrival (Day One) PCR test negative result is available.
Rules1. Passengers must carry a negative RT-PCR certificate in printed form, issued no more than 72 hours before departure.
2. All passengers must download Aarogya Setu app.
3. All travellers should
(i) submit self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal (www.newdelhiairport.in) before the scheduled travel
